Parent Involvement in the Programme

At Gardner Road Kindergarten we emphasise the importance of our relationship with parents and families; Because of this we benefit from a supportive community of families who enhance our kindergarten in a unique way.

In recognition of the importance of parent involvement in the programme, parents (or family members) are encouraged to participate as a parent helper when they can. To ensure the number of adults in the Kindergarten at any one time is not overwhelming, a roster is made available prior to each new term for parents to fill in the sessions that suit them.

Our children definitely benefit from seeing their parent’s involvement and interest in the kindergarten.

Gardner Road Kindergarten Committee

Gardner Road Kindergarten is managed by our teachers with an annually elected committee of parents who work together to run the kindergarten efficiently with the children’s best interests always the key priority.

The Kindergarten Committee give their time on a voluntary basis. This management model means that the kindergarten has a wealth of professional expertise at no cost from a management team who put our children’s needs first. As a result, our kindergarten always has the best resources, and teaching programmes available.

The committee is elected at the Annual General Meeting held in first term each year. We welcome your nomination to the committee and seek a range of experience to enhance the strengths of our team.
